Tuberous Sclerosis Complex is a multi-system genetic condition and affected individuals require life-long care and surveillance for potential complications. Dedicated clinics for individuals with TSC are held on the first Tuesday of the month at St Mary’s Hospital, Manchester. Both children and adults can be seen in these clinics. The clinical service is co-ordinated by Dr Liz Jones, Consultant Clinical Geneticist. A team of specialists from a variety of disciplines provide a comprehensive local TSC network to enable expert care of the medical problems associated with TSC.
Referrals for individuals known to have or suspected to have TSC are accepted from GPs, medical specialists, specialist nurses and healthcare colleagues throughout the north-west region. Referrals should be made via Dr Liz Jones.
The Tuberous Sclerosis Association (TSC) is a national charity dealing with all aspects of TSC.
