Dr John Ealing trained initially in London before moving to Oxford and then Manchester. He was appointed as Consultant Neurologist in 2005 at Salford Royal Hospital where he also runs the Motor Neurone Disease care centre. Since 2009 he has provided neurological input to the NF1 and NF2 services based at St Mary’s Hospital. His research interests have historically been in RNA processing and RNA gene therapy but, with his clinical duties, his research has moved toward clinical projects in MND, Neurofibomatosis types 1 and 2 and idiopathic ataxias.
