Biography
Andrea studied Medical Biochemistry at the University of Birmingham (1991) and obtained a PhD in Cell Biology at the University Of Wales, College Of Cardiff (1998). She initially followed a career in Cell Biology research at the Gray Cancer Institute. She joined the Manchester laboratory in September 2000 where she completed her training in Clinical Cytogenetics in 2002 and became HCPC registered in 2005. She became a Principal Clinical Scientist in the Genomic Diagnostics Laboratory in 2013.
