I need an interpreter

We are able to arrange interpreters for most languages including BSL interpreters. These are usually provided by our hospital interpretation service who are very experienced in supporting families coming to a genetic appointment. If you have specific requests for an interpreter please let us know.

It is really important that you let us know in advance of your appointment. We are happy and prefer to arrange interpreters even if another family member or friend can speak English. In cases where we are not able to book a hospital interpreter, we may use a telephone interpretation service.
